Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at jmarco-paredes@latinopolicyforum.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Latino Unity Day is a day and a half of community, advocacy, and impact. On the first day, participants attend sessions, conducted by advocates and community organizations, on specific bills and budget asks that are advocating with the General Assembly. On the second day, will hear from members of the IL Legislative Latino Caucus on their priorities, we will organize panels on how community organizations, government, and philanthropy  are responding to federal threats, and we conduct legislative meetings to help push initiatives before the end of the legislative session.

If you are member of an advocacy organization, an association, a community-based organization, a state employee, a community leader, or a student that cares about Latino equity and civic engagement, Latino Unity Day is for you!

Latino Unity Day is growing and so is the cost of hosting the event. This year, the cost is more than triple than last year. For that reason, Early Bird tickets are $100 and regular tickets $125. This includes one breakfast, two lunches, a reception, a swag bad, and a day and a half on meaningful programming. Clients of community providers and students can attend for free. If you plan to invite any, please reach out to jmarco-paredes@latinopolicyforum.org to receive a promo code and we will gladly waive the fee only for them.

Yes, please note that we are a large group and many advocacy days are happening at the same time in Springfield. The event will take place at the Crowne Plaza Springfield, but since they do not have rooms available, we have been able to block rooms at neighboring hotels. Please make your reservation as soon as possible, visiting our Accommodations page.

Unfortunately, the organization of the event does not offer any transportation to Springfield, IL. The event will take place both days at the Crowne Plaza Springfield. On day two, the organization will have buses available from the hotel to the Capitol, for our rally and legislative visits, and back.
